OCTOBER 2011

New photos of Gio-HERE
Our young male "Gio" is back in the show ring after a one year break
from conformation competition. He was presented in the Bred By
Exhibitor class at the Specialty and supported entry weekend of Empire
KBT Club in beautiful Long Island. All judges were also terrier breeders.
Gio was awarded:
  • Winners Dog, Best of Winners, Best of Breed and Terrier Group 3 by Mr.
    K. Kauffman on Friday, Brookhaven KC, the EKBTC supported entry
    for 5 point MAJOR
  • Best of Winners and 1 point at Suffolk County KC, EKBTC supported
    entry judged by Mrs. J. Bousek on Saturday
  • Best of Winers and 4 point Major at EKBTC Specialty of Westbury KC
    Association judged by  Mr. Keith Lovell from Australia
  • At the same show, Gio was also awarded Best in (Bred By Exhibitor)
    Group by Mrs. M. Zingler

Congratulations to Gio's older brother "Echo" for going Best of Breed at
the Saturday and Sunday shows, including the EKBTC Specialty above,
wonderfully presented by his owner Diane of Aristocrat kerries!

Another Aran's kid, Gio and Echo's half sister Olivia (Ch. Keribou's You
Only Live Twice), was presented at the Specialty on Sunday and was
awarded Select Dog

Congratulations to lovely Aristocrat's Sunlass Cold Chill, aka "Chilly"
presented by her owner Diane from Aristocrat kennel for Winners Bitch
at the specialty and supported entry show on Saturday and Sunday

Congratulations to super Bean, aka  PennTerra's Cool Beans, adding new
AKC CH title (finished from BBE with all majors-5, 5, 4, 3) to her UKC
CH (finished in one weekend/four shows-2 Gr1, 2 Gr2.
Bean was also awarded UWPCH (United Weight Puller Champion)
recently and has two legs towards her UKC UJJ (United Junior Jumper)
as well as one leg towards her Working Dog Supreme (IWPA) title

NEW AKC Champion, Aran's daughter Lovesong's Blue Suede Too

At the National Dockdogs competion at Petscapades in Kent, WA June
18th and 19, on Saturday Rowan won first place in Big Air Senior with a
jump of 17'3"; on Sunday he placed second in the Big Air  Amateur
Finals (eight competing) with a jump of 16'10

Congratulations to Eddie and Ringo!n GCH CH Topgun Ragin' Ring Of
BlueAire was chosen for Select Dog at the Greater Pittsburgh Kerry Blue
Speciality by Ms. Betsy Dale as well as Group I under Judge Glenda
Dawkins at Western Carolina Dog Fancier Association, followed by
another Group I by David Kirkland.

Here is Bean again! Congratulations to BoW & BOS over 3 bitch specials
for a 3 pt major at the Garden State All Terrier Club specialty show (this
is her 2nd major, after winning BOW for a 5 pt major during the
Montgomery weekend under terrier judge Dezi Murphy). Presented by
breeder Youlia!

Weigth Pulling News : PennTerra's Cool Beans aka "Bean" pulled 1657
lbs (55 times her weight) and ‎1492 lbs becaming UKC's newest United
Weight Puller Champion. Congratulations Sara and Bean!

Sports with Kerry Blue Terriers updated!


Congratulations to Topgun babies, their owners and breeder Barbara!
  • Ringo & Bonnie  ( Ch. Topgun Ragin' Ring of BlueAire &Topgun Ragin
    to the Danger Zone) for taking Group3 and Group 1 at the Montgomery
    Kennel Club show under Ms. Charlotte Clem McGowan and the
    Anniston Kennel Club show under Mr. James G Reynolds.
  • Smokey ( Ch. Topgun Great Balls of Fire) competed in his first AKC
    herding trial in Olive Branch, Mississippi in the Started Sheep class. He
    scored a 97, placed first in his class and won High in Trial over 25 other
    dogs and then next day missed winning High in Trial by one point ( 93).

Rowan  (Ch. Fermanagh Cross the Rubicon) &Margo competed in their
first DockDog competition at Puyallup Spring Fair in WA. Although
Margo feels he did better at weekly practices, his longest jump was 16.4 ft
and he made the finals, placing 6th out of 8 in his class. Congratulation!

Gio is working with sheep and may be ready for pre trial competition
soon.

Congratulation to Aran's daughter "Brandy" aka Ch. Penterra Sky's
Reflection! She and her mom Youlia B. are working on CD obedience
title. From four entries at Novice A, she got 3 first places and one second
with scores 194, 191.5 , 195.5 and 196.5 out of 200 max.

HAPPY 10 BIRTHDAY- ARANCIK!!!!

While taking break from the show ring, Gio is enjoying K9 NOSE
WORK classes as well as SHEEP herding classes.

Congratulations to Sara and Bean, Aran's double granddaughter UWP
UCH PennTerra's Cool Beans! NJ-N JJ-R ( Ch. Topgun Ragin' Ring of
BlueAire x Ch. PennTerra's Sky Jet) making heads turn with more then
her looks!
  • She went BOW at Hatboro during Montgomery weekend for a 5 pt
    major, and went RWB at NKBTCO specialty Aug 2010. She is a UKC
    Champion, finishing in one weekend by going Gr 1 in both of the
    morning shows, and going Gr 2 in the afternoon shows.
  • She has her UWP, United Weight Puller. She needs 45 more points to get
    her UWPCH, and I expect her to complete this at the June pulls in CT.
    Her personal best on wheels is 758 lbs, 828 on rails, and 345 on snow.
  • She has a Novice Jumper for National events, and her Junior Jumper for
    Regional events. Her personal best is 14'2". She is in training for Extreme
    Vertical, and hopefully will be ready for my club's event at the end of
    June. It has been confirmed by DockDog Worldwide that she is the first
    to be titled in her breed.
  • She has been on TV twice: for the dog pool we frequent when it was on a
    local channel spotlighting local businesses, and for a NJ cable channel
    with AKC highlighting the Irish breeds.

JANUARY 2010

With very limited showing Aran made it to AKC Top 25 Breed ranking
at No. 8 !!!
Congratulations to Aran's son Ch. Kerion The Noble Spirit
owner/breeder handled- No. 18 in AKC Top 25 Breed ratings!
Congratulations to Aran's daughter Grand Ch. Topgun Ranging to the
Danger Zone for finishing at No in AKC Top25 All-Breed ratings!
